About the artist:

Ella Jane is an Australian based artist and designer, inspired by traditional geometric designs from Islamic lands. In collaboration with her daughter Sofia, they founded Ella Jane Creates, an illustration and design brand.

Ella's artwork is most known for its contemporary take on traditional Islamic designs, allowing the calmness and beauty of geometric patterns to grace our modern, everyday life.

She illustrates in a variety of mediums, including digital, watercolour, ink and gouache. Based in Australia, she draws her inspiration from travel to areas where Islamic Art has a deep and rich history, interwoven into daily life and dating back to the 7th century.
